ok I have a Toshiba Satellite running windows 7 home premium. the sticker on the bottom is rubbed out and unreadable. I need to reset my laptop and wipe it clean cause of viruses but told I need the product key to do it. the links for programs that supposedly recover the key don't work and I know this cause the key they give me don't match what part of the key I can make out. I tried right clicking on my computer file to open the properties but the ID it gives is not 25 digits as the product key should be so im gonna safely say that's not the key im looking for. I have also called Microsoft and THEY hung up on ME!!! so that's a no go too. all I want to know is how I can recover the key that matches what I could make out of the sticker on the bottle of my laptop or where to get a new one that works and is cheap. I only get $140 every 2 weeks in child support so I cant afford much. please give me answers of things uve done that has worked. don't just google for sites that claim to recover it not having done it urself.
